A Nonprofit Serving Private Schools Nationwide

We handle the back office of scholarship tax credits, so you can focus on students.

Cornerstone helps private schools plan, promote, organize and track Georgia's Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) program and the new Federal Scholarship Tax Credit, with options that cost your school nothing up front.

The Programs We Support

State and federal scholarship tax credits

Both programs let taxpayers direct dollars to scholarship organizations that help families afford private school. Schools that are organized and ready get the most out of them, and that's where we come in.

State Program

Georgia SSO Tax Credit

Established in 2008

Georgia's Qualified Education Expense (QEE) tax credit lets individuals, couples and businesses redirect part of the Georgia income tax they already owe to approved Student Scholarship Organizations (SSOs), which award scholarships to students at participating private schools.

  • Our team has worked with private schools since the program began
  • Credits are limited by a statewide cap, so timing and preparation matter
  • We help your school work effectively with the SSOs you partner with
New Federal Program

Federal Scholarship Tax Credit

Begins January 1, 2027

A new federal tax credit for donations to approved Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs) in participating states. Taxpayers can receive a dollar-for-dollar federal credit of up to $1,700 per person, and dozens of states, including Georgia, have opted in.

  • We're actively involved in preparing schools for the federal program
  • We help schools reach families and supporters before the first donation season
  • We serve schools in participating states across the country

Please note: Cornerstone Scholarship Advisors is not a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) or Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO). We do not accept tax credit contributions or award scholarships. We help schools work effectively with approved organizations. Program rules are set by state and federal law, and taxpayers should consult their own tax advisor.

What We Do

Your scholarship tax credit back office

Most schools know these programs exist. Few have the time to run them well. We take on the behind-the-scenes work from start to finish.

01 · STRATEGY

Plan your approach

We build a clear plan for how your school approaches the state and federal programs: which SSOs and SGOs to work with, key deadlines, goals and timing.

02 · OUTREACH

Market it to your community

We create the letters, emails, flyers, social posts and talking points that explain the programs to your parents, alumni, supporters and local businesses.

03 · ORGANIZATION

Stay organized

We set up simple systems to track supporters, applications, approvals and deadlines, so nothing falls through the cracks and your staff always knows where things stand.

04 · FULFILLMENT

Pledges & follow-through

We help manage pledges from start to finish, with reminders, follow-ups and status tracking, so commitments turn into contributions and scholarships for your families.

About Us

Cornerstone Scholarship Advisors is a nonprofit organization founded in Georgia and serving private schools across the country. Our goal isn't profit. It's helping schools run smoothly and connecting more families with the scholarships available to them.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Which schools do you work with?

We work with private schools in Georgia and in other states taking part in the Federal Scholarship Tax Credit, with a special focus on smaller and under-resourced schools that don't have large administrative or development teams.

What's the difference between the Georgia SSO program and the federal program?

Georgia's program, which began in 2008, gives a state income tax credit for contributions to approved Student Scholarship Organizations. The federal program, which begins January 1, 2027, gives a federal tax credit of up to $1,700 per taxpayer for contributions to approved Scholarship Granting Organizations in participating states. Schools in Georgia may be able to benefit from both, and we help you approach them together.

Is there really an option with no upfront cost?

Yes. We offer service options that don't require any upfront payment from your school, so getting started is easier. We'll walk you through the options during your free consultation.

Are you an SSO or SGO? Can I make a tax credit contribution to you?

No. Tax credit contributions must go to an approved Student Scholarship Organization (for Georgia's program) or Scholarship Granting Organization (for the federal program). We help schools work with those organizations; we don't collect or distribute scholarship funds.

Where are you located?

We're based in Norcross, Georgia, and we serve schools nationwide, both in person and remotely.
